I recently joined a group trip with Northeast Travel Experts called “Soul of Tripura”, and it turned out to be one of the most raw and meaningful travel experiences I’ve had. This trip was not about sightseeing it was about truly feeling a place. We got the rare opportunity to experience the lives of the Chakma tribe, Reang (Bru) tribe, and the Bishnupriya Manipuri community. From their authentic food to their culture, music, and traditional dance everything felt deeply personal and untouched by commercial tourism. One thing I genuinely appreciated is that this trip is not designed for everyone. If you’re someone looking for luxury hotels and comfort, this might not be your thing. But if you are a true traveler who wants real, immersive experiences, then this trip is absolutely worth it. Special mention to: Pilot Samir Das his knowledge of the routes and terrain made the journey smooth and safe throughout. Guide Subhajit very helpful, friendly, and ensured we understood the cultural depth of every place we visited. Mr. Sanjay Bhowmik the man behind this beautifully designed experience. The way this trip was curated is truly unique and different from typical tours. Highly recommended for those who travel to connect, not just to see.

This was my first time in North east (Arunachal Pradesh) and also my first solo trip . I was impressed with their itinerary instead of regular tourists spots they included local experience with the people there . The stays were all good and had a good time with the other travellers . The guide made us very comfortable and wanted us to give us the best experience and provided great knowledge on Arunachal Pradesh . I never felt like a stranger in the trip and we had so much fun . We travelled to Meghalaya from 29th January to 5th February, and our experience with Northeast Travel Experts was absolutely wonderful. The trip was very well planned and thoughtfully curated, with everything taken care of from start to finish. A special thanks to their executive Tamanna, who helped us design the itinerary patiently and efficiently. She understood our requirements well and ensured we experienced the perfect mix of nature, culture, trekking, and local experiences. We enjoyed beautiful cultural programs with music and dance, exciting trekking experiences, and authentic local food arranged by the guides. The guides were knowledgeable, supportive, and took complete care of our safety throughout the journey. A heartfelt appreciation for our driver Gautam Gogai. He is extremely experienced in mountain driving, calm, friendly, and has excellent local area knowledge. He made us feel safe and comfortable at all times and was with us throughout the trip — from airport pickup on the first day to the final drop. He also went out of his way to take our pictures and showed us many beautiful places that were not part of the original itinerary, which made the trip even more special. We are a family of four, and we truly loved every moment of this journey. This trip gave us beautiful memories and stories to tell for a lifetime. My recent trip with Northeast Travel Experts was truly memorable. It beautifully balanced both the tourist and traveler experience, so I never felt like I was missing out on anything. As a solo traveler, safety and comfort were my top priorities and I must say the team delivered exceptionally well. The stays were hygienic, safe, and secure, and I always felt looked after. My driver, Babudas from Assam, was a wonderful companion throughout, and in villages like Zemithang, Lubrang, and Bishum-Phudung, I was guided by warm and knowledgeable locals such as Purash ( Jugnu Guide) , Thupten, Tenzin, Dawa, Sangey, and Leiki Khandu (village folk star). Their presence added so much authenticity to my journey. Though the trip was curated by Sanjay, who could not be present in person, it was evident that he was the mastermind behind the planning. The experience was a mix of comfort and authentic local immersion—from homely meals to cultural insights which gave me a true glimpse into Arunachal’s people and traditions. That said, for a young and passionate startup, they are doing an outstanding job. Their dedication, warmth, and thoughtful curation truly stood out. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking to experience the Northeast in a meaningful way, and I am certain that whenever I return, I will choose to travel with them again without a second thought.

I have randomly choose them as a solo woman traveller from south india.End of the trip i do not have anything regret. Our 8–15 November 2025, Arunachal trip planned by Northeast Travel Experts was exceptional from start to finish. The itinerary was beautifully crafted, with a perfect blend of scenic journeys, cultural immersion, and peaceful exploration. Visiting remote and stunning locations like Zemithang, learning about the Monpa community, walking through their villages, and enjoying authentic local food were among the most enriching highlights of our trip. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Gautam Gogoi, who picked us up from the airport on Day 1 and stayed with us till the final drop-off. His exceptional driving across challenging mountain terrain, deep knowledge of the region, and calm, friendly presence made every day safe, comfortable, and enjoyable. 6 of us (women) Just completed a 7 days trip of Tripura with Northeast Travel Experts. Not many tour companies do Tripura circuit, Sanjay was helpful in ensuring we had a peace of mind and all our questions were answered before we planned. Trip it self was though fully curated covering all major spots of Tripura along with cultural mix of tribal village interactions. Hotels were clean , cars were good and drivers trained. Over all positive experience and will use Northeast Travel experts for more trips soon

We went on a Tawang expedition in Arunachal Pradesh from 27th December to 1st January, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Every day of the trip was enjoyable and well planned. The homestays arranged for us were warm, cozy, and thoughtfully chosen, and the hosts were extremely friendly, making us feel comfortable throughout the journey. I had specially requested Sanjay to be with us throughout the trip, and he not only guided us but also drove us across Tawang. He shared many interesting insights and stories about the places we visited, which added great depth to the experience. He was confident, reliable, and ensured everything ran smoothly at all times. Towards the end of the trip, we made a sudden plan to visit Kaziranga after reaching Guwahati. When we approached him, he immediately arranged the transportation and jeep safari, so we did not have to deal with any last-minute hassles. Another highlight of the trip was that the itinerary was not limited to just sightseeing. It included meaningful experiences like interacting with the Monpa tribe of Tawang and learning about their culture. The light and sound show along with the Snow Lion dance was truly memorable and gave us a beautiful insight into Tibetan culture. Overall, it was a seamless, well-managed, and unforgettable journey. I would highly recommend this travel agency to anyone planning a trip to Arunachal Pradesh or other northeastern states.
